Genesis 4 1:5

1: And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, “I have gotten a man from the Lord.”

2: And she again bore his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

3: And in process of time it came to pass that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.

4: And Abel also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering;

5: but unto Cain and to his offering He had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

And now we enter the 2nd story of the Bible, the focus it is no longer on Man and Woman, but of their children and devotion.

Two brothers have been born and given tasks. One Abel a hunter and the other Cain a gatherer per says. When Able gave from his flock whole heartedly and in love and devotion, it was received well. But Cain gave only in obligation, not in faith and love. Many of us whom become fruitful in love and gratitude live with a gentle heart, but those whom labour in anguish can find no peace. This is a story of thankful givings.

1: Adam and Eve are now Father and Mother whom gave thanks and gratitude for their children.

2: Two boys grew and become fruitful farmers, one whom sowed the land (Cain) the other attended livestock (Abel).

3: Cain sowed from the land and gave thanks to the lord and provided for his family Brother and Father and Mother.

4: Abel then gave first fruits from his livestock with a wholesome heart, providing for his Brother and Mother and Father. And from love he was more favoured.

5: Yet Cain was given no countenance from his offerings and felt less appreciated and striven as time gathered on.
