Genesis 1 16:20
Genesis 1 16:20
16: And God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also.
17: And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18: and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
19: And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
20: And God said, “Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.”
Open for discussion:
God has attributed the creation of light and appears more than four times in these passages, therefore the importance of the existence of light.
16: God created the Sun and the Moon, one the greater light and the other the secondary. The many stars also emit light.
17: All the suns within the heavens, in whence they give light upon us. Sky and Earth.
18: The Sun illumines the day from the dark. For we have both night and day. Thus is good for life.
19: The next cycle can now begin.
20: God now brought forth and introduced all life within the sea and all life that flock through the air.
